The Nokia 7215 Interconnect System (IXS) for Data Centre Fabrics provides reliable out-of-band management network solutions for data centre servers, spine nodes and leaf nodes. This family of routers is based on the Nokia SR Linux Network Operating System (NOS), which provides a robust and comprehensive set of features including IP routing, Layer 2 services, Quality of Service (QoS), telemetry and model-driven management.
The Nokia 7215 IXS-A1 is available in four variants and complements the Nokia 7220 Interconnect Router (IXR) and 7250 IXR families used in the Nokia Data Centre Fabric solution.

- The PUE-optimised design ensures a high level of energy efficiency and helps to reduce overall energy consumption. Flexibility in airflow routing - front-to-back and back-to-front - supports optimum cooling in different data centre environments.
- The system delivers 88 Gb/s full-duplex throughput in a compact 1RU configuration with integrated, redundant AC or DC power supply units (PSUs) and fans. It is equipped with 48x 10/100/1000 Mb/s RJ-45 ports and 4x 1/10GE SFP+ ports, providing high port density and flexibility for a wide range of network requirements.
- Based on SR Linux, the NOS enables a modular, model-driven management approach. Fully managed by Nokia's event-driven automation platform (EDA) to ensure highly reliable, simplified and adaptable data centre networks.
