The hardware platforms run SR Linux, an open, extensible and resilient Network Operating System (NOS). SR Linux was developed for modern IP and data centre networks and uses an unmodified Linux® kernel as the basis for a range of network applications.
SR Linux offers a model-driven management architecture and utilises containers, microservices, open source projects, YANG data models, streaming and ‘on change’ telemetry as well as modern management protocols such as gNMI and REST APIs.
